I’ve been lax on getting the songs posted, so for the next 4 days i’ll post a new song since i fell a week behind schedule.

This was actually 3 minutes longer but had to chop it down so that tumblr would allow me to post it. Hey tumblr! Kindly increase you MB allowance to more that 10MB. On second thought, you’d all probably end up having to listen to 14 minute songs each week.

A great trip to Long Lake with Carri, and work getaway to San Fran made it impossible to post last weeks song until today, so you’ll be getting 2 this weekend.

Got the pleasure of seeing BonIver and Megafaun at the Fillmore on Tuesday night. It was great seeing the sold out crowds response to Brad, Joe and Phil’s set and even more of a treat to see the final encore of both bands singing a Megafaun tune with one lone condenser mic set at the front of the stage. Truely amazing night.

The Off Key song of the week. - “San Francisco”

I usually never write songs around lyrics, but i asked a good friend
Todd Lazarski to write something for me. I love the way he writes, so he handed me a set of words, and a few hours of doodling ended up turning into this. Todd’s a talented fella all around, so keep him on your radar every once in a blue moon.

Off Key song of the Week - “New Orleans” (words by Todd Lazarski)

I didn’t spend much time recording each part, which was nice. Just enough to add a piece to the song from day to day and enjoy being out where I can see the sunlight.

Finished version of PIECES. Peiced together over 7 days. 5 guitars, 4 vocals, and some sloppy ass drums.
